Terms of use

Voltenworks operates Lookup, a website software discovery API. These terms cover access to the API, your account and purchased credits.

Accounts and API keys

Keep your account and API keys secure. Do not expose keys in public repositories or browser code. You are responsible for authorized requests made with your keys. Revoke a key in the dashboard if it is compromised.

Website evidence and limitations

Lookup reports software signals found in public website HTML. Confidence labels are inferences, not guarantees that a business uses a particular tool. Results can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Validate a result before relying on it for a consequential decision.

The service reads one page per scan without executing JavaScript. Private systems and software without visible website signals may not be detected. See the documentation for current coverage and request limits.

Acceptable use

Use Lookup lawfully and respect website operators and third-party rights. Do not use it to access private networks, bypass authentication or website restrictions, collect confidential information, or enable abuse. Do not evade rate limits or create multiple accounts to bypass trial limits. Access may be suspended for misuse.

Credits and billing

One completed scan uses one credit, including scans with no matches. Failed or blocked scans return the reserved credit. A completed request replayed with the same request identifier and URL does not use another credit.

Prepaid packs are one-time purchases. Purchased credits do not expire. Monthly plans renew through Stripe until canceled, and each paid period supplies a new monthly allowance. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of that period. Monthly credits are spent before purchased credits.

Canceling stops future renewals. Your paid monthly allowance remains usable until its period ends, and your purchased balance remains available. There are no automatic pack purchases or overage charges. When credits are exhausted, new scans are rejected.

Prices are displayed before payment. Contact support about billing errors or refund requests. Refund requests are considered individually, subject to rights that apply under law.

Availability and changes

Lookup is provided as available, without a guaranteed uptime or detection accuracy. We may make changes to the service and its limits. Material changes to pricing or these terms will be communicated before they apply to future purchases or renewals.

Privacy

The Lookup privacy policy describes the account information, request records and payment identifiers processed by the service.
